Annual Meeting Brings Alliance Advocates and Supporters Together

The meeting had wonderful turnout with great representation from community partners, volunteers, and supporters.

Debbie Sommers was honored with the Dove Award for her more than 20 years of volunteerism and service on the steering committee.
Angelina Buzzelli of Foxcroft Academy screened her powerful PSA on teen dating violence.
Bob Allen received the Michele Alexander Award, recognizing his 30 years of service to the organization.
Members of the Corinth Methodist Church accepted the Partners in Change Award for creating a mission to support domestic abuse survivors both materially and spiritually.

On the evening of March 24th, around 100 supporters of Spruce Run-Womancare Alliance gathered at Husson University for the 2015 Annual Meeting.

Attendees heard from keynote speaker Francine Stark, Executive Director of the Maine Coalition to End Domestic Violence. Awards were given to two of the organization’s long-standing volunteers: Debbie Sommers and Bob Allen, and a valued community partner: the Corinth United Methodist Church.

We were also treated to a screening of Foxcroft Academy student Angelina Buzzelli‘s teen dating violence PSA:
